Amazônia. The work Amazônia borrows from glass the capacity for transformation and recycling, conveying meaning and symbolizing the world’s largest natural rainforest’s conservation challenges. Amazônia contains an incredible biodiversity, as well as huge water resources and a role in global weather regulation. Threat Deforestation threatens the forest, affecting the region directly and indirectly. Logging affects the water cycle, reducing the water circulation, with adverse consequences on rain patterns which are vital for other regions, while also causing habitat loss which emperils many species. Deforestation weakens the soil and reduces the forest’s regeneration capacity.

With the work Amazônia, the artist creates an analogy between fragility and force.

The inauguration of this exhibition will take place on September, 11th at the same venue.
