Description

The "Bead trasure hunt on the path of the Beadmakers" will bring adults and children to discover the places and way of life of the "Perlere", the makers of Venetian beads. Participants will be divided into teams and leave for the adventure to reach the secret finish line where the best teams will be symbolically rewarded. In Venice, the art of creating and stringing Glass Beads, perpetuated from generation to generation, is still alive thanks to an active Community of Perlere, Perleri and Impiraresse; it best expresses human skills, abilities and creativity; it involves gestures, language, memories and is an expression of the Community that is recognized in it. The Art of Glass Beads, is a candidate for recognition as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. The " Bead trasure hunt on the path of the Beadmakers " is proposed as an initiative for the enhancement of the intangible cultural heritage.
