Exhibition Reception of the exhibition "Enzo Berti Designer & MEMMO - Venezia. Glass and contamination"
The project we want to present at Venice Glass Week stems from the idea of contamination of blown Murano glass and the concept of textile spinning. A collection of blown glass glasses and bottles has been developed and designed by the designer Enzo Berti and produced and distributed by MEMMO - Venezia; the project includes a real "hand spinning" technique of siliceous material (a technique developed exclusively and deposited), almost as for the noble and precious textile fibers that make up the most exclusive garments; the uniqueness and exclusivity of the process, which involves the use of 500 meters of "siliceous yarn" in each single glass, guarantees a result never achieved before, where the material and chromatic overlapping of the "yarns" obtained with the phase blowing finish, return to the eyes and touch a truly particular, precious sensation, truly unique in the genre of its objects. The idea is to create an ad hoc exhibition path that narrates this project inside the Ottica Manuela atelier.
