Beyond The Gates of Eden is the first solo art exhibition of Carina Cheung in the context of The Venice Glass Week ‘19. A multidisciplinary conceptual artist, Cheung for the first time exhibits some of his main works as a result of his travel experiences (Italy, India, Norway, Lebanon, Australia, England, Morocco) and his constant search for the Essential. The exhibition is born from the observation on the relationship between humans and nature in which the artist was able to see how much the human intolerance towards nature is very present. Some animals are considered disturbing, repugnant and invaders of the most places that we frequent. Cheung invites the visitor to ask himself: are animals really pests or are humans who have infested nature? How much does nature really belong to us?
