Description

Inauguration of the exhibition "Murano bas-relief in glass and venetian architecture: a play of lights and shadows".

The Venice Glass Week is a great opportunity to highlight the millennial history of Venice through the presentation of our handcrafted bas-reliefs made in Murano glass. The exhibition is inspired by the architecture of the most typical and unmistakable palaces of Venice that reflect the Byzantine style and architectural symbols such as bas-reliefs, shields and coats of arms set in the facade of the ancient Venetian buildings. Through this unique urban context, animated by light and shadow, that makes the city of Venice immediately recognizable and is its emblem, we intended to offer a tribute to our city with particular focus to Murano glass making and a confirmation of the uniqueness of the Serenissima.
