An ancient bond brings Venice, its port and its commercial activities closer to Orient. Through travel, commercial exchanges were born, but also cultural and artistic exchanges. Travel is a symbol, in the contemporary world, of every possible movement. Commercial trips, identity journeys to re-know stories and ties in cultural traditions, introspective journeys, trips to esoteric and fantastic dimensions, real journeys to reach a destination that gives us a possible future. A journey unites us all, our being travelers of existence justifies our encounters. A journey trough the mind, means to travel inside oneself, to know our interior and reflect. Those who travel are searching. We can meet ourselves, lose us and find us again, but it's the journey itself the meaning of our own existence. The project involves contemporary artists from a range of different countries, who have used their individual research to create new works in glass specifically for the festival.
The inauguration will take place on Saturday 5th September 2020 from 5pm.
