Magma

The installation conceived by the Design studio LCM MARIN will be realized at the "Giardino di Pippo Design Lab" located under the Rialto Porticoes in Venice. Inserted in a suspended steel structure and resting on reflecting stainless steel plates, four large spheres with a diameter of 60 cm each in transparent crystal will be placed and worked with the traditional Murano Ballotton technique. Inside them there will be four other smaller spheres illuminated and suspended by means of metal tubes that evoke blow pipes. "MAGMA" was born from the desire to represent the strength and at the same time the lightness of glass. The sphere as the shape of a celestial body from whose pulsating incandescent center draws energy. Two spheres like metaphors: Life, earth, fragility the greatest. Heart, drive, strength the smallest.

The Exhibition Reception will take place on Friday 11th September 2020 from 6pm to 11pm.
