Official Award Ceremony for "Autonoma Residency Prize" and "Bonhams Prize for The Venice Glass Week".
By invitation only.
The Autonoma Residency Prize is a new prize for an artist or designer working in artistic glass, between the ages of 18 to 35. The winner will receive an “Emerging Artist Residency” at Pilchuck Glass School, USA, in 2021, to the estimated value of € 10,000.
The winner is chosen at the discretion of a Prize Jury from amongst the artists and designers exhibiting in “The Venice Glass Week HUB - Under 35” as part of the fourth edition of The Venice Glass Week.
The prize is promoted by LagunaB and funded by the Associazione Culturale per la Salvaguardia delle Tecniche Vetrarie Muranesi E.T.S. through the Autonoma project, in association with Pilchuck Glass School.
The Bonhams Prize for The Venice Glass Week is an award for the best project participating in the festival. The prize is sponsored by the Modern Decorative Art and Design Department (New York) of Bonhams, the international auction house founded in 1793. Bonhams is one of the largest and most important auction houses in the world specialising in art, antiques, jewellery, motor cars and collectables.
The aim of the prize, which was established in 2019, is to stimulate original and high-quality projects in the field of artistic glass, on the occasion of The Venice Glass Week. The winner receives a cash prize of € 1,000.00, which it is hoped will support expenses relating to participation in the festival, such as project development, organisation and promotion.
