Description

The "Campiello Ca' Zen" Gallery offers a selection of pieces produced by Salviati & C. since 1950 in collaboration with important national and international designers. Founded in 1859 by Antonio Salviati, Vetreria Salviati & C. is one of the best known and representative brands of Murano artistic glass production of nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Among the masters who have collaborated with the company we find Alfredo Barbini, Livio Seguso, Loredano Rosin and Bruno Gatto.

From the fifties many designers have characterized the artistic production of the glass factory including Luciano Gaspari, for many years artistic director of the company, Sergio Asti, Claire Falkenstein, Teff and Betha Sarazin, Francesca Camerino and Heinz Oestergard. Salviati participated in many International Art Exibition of Biennale with pieces designed by its most important artists. For the second edition of The Venice Glass Week, our Gallery proposes some of the pieces that have characterized the production of the Salviati & C. in the last fifty years.
