The TVGW Tour by Nexa for Monday, September 7th in Venice, takes us into two enchanting fairy-tale worlds: the studio of a craftswoman who makes extraordinary "glass lace" jewels and the workshop of one of the greatest Venetian masters in lampworking.
The first stop is at Monica's workshop/museum, Le Burle Veneziane where, with "le conterie veneziane", glass microspheres and vintage Murano crystal beads, the artist/artisan creates handmade statement costume jewellery: necklaces, pendants, bracelets, earrings and rings characterized by a refined and inimitable style.
Nexa's guide will then take you to Bruno Amadi's workshop which is a veritable Noah's Ark! For 40 years Amadi has been creating wonderful natural shapes with a unique mastery. On his workbench, crowded with very thin multicoloured glass canes, the master produces small animals of all species, vegetables, small magical worlds that encapsulate centuries-old skills and craftsmanship.
