The two TVGW Tours by Nexa for Friday, September 11th in Venice are dedicated to glass beads, objects of rare beauty, and lampworking, an integral part of the Venetian glassmaking history, still a thriving and important production for the city.
At 10 am your Nexa guide will introduce you to the magical world of S.U.V Venetian Beads, the vibrant workshop where expert bead makers combine glass with precious materials to produce exquisite beads, and then on to La Perla Nera, Paola's shop/studio where the artisan/crafter creates highly original jewelry by assembling tiny Murano beads with creative techniques and a very personal design.
Departure point: Stazione Santa Lucia - ACTVA Stop "A"
The 5 pm tour features Le Burle Veneziane where Monica creates handmade statement costume jewelry with glass microspheres and vintage Murano crystal beads, and Bruno Amadi's workshop, where the glass master, one of the greatest experts in lampworking, produces miniature animal and vegetable worlds that encapsulate centuries-old skills and craftsmanship.
